Editorial standards and corrections

Patient Intelligence News reports from the patient’s point of consequence while applying the same skepticism to plaintiffs, companies, regulators and institutions.

Evidence

We prioritize primary records: court filings, statutes, regulations, public data, corporate disclosures and on-the-record statements. Secondary reporting may identify a lead or add context, but material legal conclusions are checked against the underlying record.

Legal coverage

Allegations are identified as allegations. A decision on a motion to dismiss is not described as a finding of liability. We state what claims survived, what claims failed, the procedural posture, and the strongest material response from the opposing party.

Independence and attribution

We do not publish sponsored editorial coverage. Sources are linked where readers can inspect them. Anonymous-source reporting, if used, must explain why anonymity was granted and how the information was corroborated.

Corrections

Material errors are corrected promptly and transparently. A correction note will describe what changed and when. Clarifications that do not alter the truth of the article may be noted separately.

Automation

Research and production tools may assist the newsroom, but publication is conditional on source verification, fair characterization, originality, legal-risk review and a successful technical quality check. When those gates fail, we do not publish.
